Competency Areas

  • Career & Professional Development: activities designed to increase students' awareness of, and access to, development opportunities in their field of interest
  • Service & Civic Engagement: activities designed to increase students' interaction with the local community and promote civic responsibility
  • Organizational & Member Wellness: activities designed to build rapport among members and emphasize the importance of physical and mental health
  • Diversity & Inclusion: activities designed to create a sense of belonging and community on campus, in HHD, and within the student organization

 

Eligible Activities

The following list is not all-inclusive. There may be other events/activities at the university or in HHD that your organization wishes to attend/host. For approval of activities not listed here, please send an email to Engaged Learning Specialist, Carrie Little, at little@psu.edu with the the following information:

  1. Title of the event/activity
  2. Competency area met by the event/activity
  3. Description of the event/activity
    1. Where and when did the event/activity take place?
    2. What skills, tasks, knowledge, actions, etc. did your membership gain/complete as a result of participation?
  4. The total number of students who attended the event/activity
