Technology and Library Resources
- Learning Resource Network and IT Learning provide resources on how to identify content and choose the most effective Canvas delivery methods, produce reusable lectures in Zoom or Kaltura, and leverage Kaltura to increase interactivity. Search all IT Learning and Development training modules.
- If you will be using Zoom for your classes, remember that Zoom security settings are important to protect faculty and students from Zoom-bombing and other intrusions. Review the full list of security recommendations and other resources.
- Tech TA and Tutor Requests: Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) can provide faculty support through the Tech TA and Tutor program. If you are interested in having a Tech TA, requests can be made through their web page.
- A University Libraries webpage provides key information regarding pandemic-driven operational changes, access to resources, and much more.
- Students can Connect to Tech for details on how to get started with technology at Penn State. For fall 2021, the only students eligible to participate in the Penn State IT Technology Loaner Program will be domestic students who indicated that they will not return to campus and/or those who have made a temporary change of campus to World Campus because they are unable to return to campus. Penn State IT will proactively contact these students to ensure their technology needs (laptops, mobile hot spots, and webcams) for fall 2021 are met.
- WebLabs is a new offering that provides students and faculty remote access to Penn State Cooperative Lab Management (CLM) lab computers so that they can connect to the technology resources they need to complete coursework. This includes specialty software located on CLM lab computers, such as programs used in engineering and other scientific disciplines. It is available to students and faculty at most campus locations. Access the resource through the Penn State WebLabs website.
