The Community Builder Award honors a graduate student who demonstrates 
exemplary leadership that manifests the ideals of diversity, equity, accessibility, justice, and inclusion into practical actions that cultivate a sense of belonging. 

 
Criteria 
 
The recipient would be a graduate student within the College of Health and Human Development who demonstrates exemplary leadership in manifesting the ideals of diversity, equity, accessibility, justice, and inclusion into practical actions that cultivate a sense of belonging.  

 
Eligibility 
 
To be eligible, the nominee must be a graduate student within the College of Health and Human Development. The individual must meet at least one of the following criteria: 

Dedicates themselves to facilitating opportunities for inclusiveness in and out of the classroom, in the College, throughout the University or in the community. 

Serves as a role model to the students, staff, faculty, and administrators and the campus community in working toward a diverse and inclusive University. 

Fosters an appreciation for human differences by creating and supporting opportunities for diversity, equity, accessibility, justice, and inclusion that impact the College. 

 

 

The nomination/self-nomination process shall consist of: 

Completed online application form (NOTE: first year no online application, emailed instead) 
A rationale of why the nominee should be considered. 
The nominee’s resume with pertinent information (i.e. College of HHD activities, community activities, awards and honors, etc.)
